AMSTERDAM, 09/03/07 - The Segi youth movement is gathering in Amsterdam on Sunday. The organisation is linked to ETA and on the EU list of terrorist organisations.

Segi is holding an information meeting in the notorious Vrankrijk squat in Amsterdam Sunday in order to "gather support among Dutch organisations for its struggle against the repression in Spain and the Basque country", the website of Vrankrijk reported yesterday.

A Supreme Court of Spain ruled in January that Segi is a terrorist organisation linked to the Basque separatist movement ETA. The EU put the group on its terrorist black list. The Spanish authorities have issued warrants for the arrest of several Segi members.

In 2003, Segi followers gathered in Amsterdam, Nijmegen and Alphen aan den Rijn. The Public Prosecutor's Office (OM) in the Netherlands at the time took no action, claiming the group committed no criminal offences.
