AMSTERDAM, 04/03/06 - Opel is the most trusted auto brand among the Dutch. For computers, they are most charmed by HP Compaq, for credit cards by Visa and for cameras, by Canon.

The figures come from the European Trusted Brands survey by the Reader's Digest magazine. They surveyed over 25,000 Europeans, including over 1,200 Dutch. In a number of areas, domestic companies scored best: KPN (mobile phone service provider), D-Reizen (tour operator), Rabobank (bank), Interpolis (insurance), Het Net (Internet provider), Shell (petrol retailer), Kruidvat (pain relief tablet) and A. Vogel (cold remedy).

The other winners in the Netherlands were Miele (kitchen appliances), Nokia (mobile phone handset), Davitamon (vitamins), Andrelon (hair care), Yves Rocher (cosmetic), Nivea (skin care), Ariel (soap powder) and Kellogg's (breakfast cereal).
