Grolsch, Crucell, TomTom Seen As Dutch Bourse 'Pearls'

AMSTERDAM, 01/12/06 - Grolsch, Crucell and TomTom will be the pearls of the Amsterdam bourse next year. The prediction came from Rabobank research institute Iris yesterday at a meeting on investing in 2007.

Iris has high expectations of a distribution agreement concluded by beer brewer Grolsch with Anheuser Busch. The researchers believe the brewer has scope for a big dividend increase. Grolsch's share price could climb nearly 40 percent, Iris predicts.

Biotechnology firm Crucell, developer of drugs, is expected to achieve profitability next year. Crucell is undervalued by over 60 percent, in Iris' view.

Finally, Iris considers TomTom's valuation should be 25 percent higher. The market is much too pessimistic on this car navigation systems maker. "Growth is underestimated," said Iris equities chief Steef Bergakker.

Iris selected the three companies based on their economic potential. No account has been taken in the selection with the possibility a company might become a takeover target.

Amsterdam' AEX leading companies index could grow to 560 points, according to Iris. It is currently fluctuating around 480 points.
