Former PVV Member Starts Islamic Party
THE HAGUE, 10/09/13 - Former Party for Freedom (PVV) politician Arnoud van Doorn is starting a political party based on 'Islamic standards and values,' he announced on Twitter.
Van Doorn was expelled from the PVV party in The Hague city council in 2011 because he was said to have had his hands in the till. He subsequently anounced he was a convert to Islam. At end-January, he was arrested because he leaked secret documents on the city council's sale of the World Forum in The Hague to a journalist. He also sold cannabis to children. |
