DE STEEG, 13/02/01 - Two photographers of the Dutch gossip magazines Party and Story were arrested on Saturday night for their presence at the Middachten Castle in the village of De Steeg. The paparazzi wanted to shoot some pictures of Crown Prince Willem-Alexander and his girlfriend Maxima Zorreguieta.

The crown prince and his Argentine love were in De Steeg to attend the wedding of Hugo Loudon, a close friend of Willem-Alexander's, and Margreet De Bruijn. The two photographers, a man and a woman, repeatedly ignored requests to leave the castle.

Police took the duo to a nearby police station and released them after a couple of hours. Both photojournalists each received a 60-guilder fine for illegally entering someone's property.
