HILVERSUM, 03/04/01 - The people of the Netherlands seem to have fallen en masse for Maxima Zorreguieta. She is considered sensible and intelligent, according to a survey held by the Intomart agency.

As many as 93 percent of the Dutch regard the Argentinean as a suitable marriage partner for Crown Prince Willem-Alexander, while only 4 percent found her unsuitable. A large majority of 88 percent also admired Maxima's command of the Dutch language.

The positive attitude to the engagement is greater in the Intomart survey than in a similar survey held by the Nipo. In the latter case, 83 percent of the Dutch were extremely or reasonably positive about the engagement, 5 percent were reasonably negative and 4 percent extremely negative. In the Nipo survey, 46 positive were positive about the idea of Maxima as Queen.
